Wooden Bottle & Jar Brush large

New to our kitchen cleaning collection at home, I wondered why I didn’t own one sooner! The shape of the soft horse hair bristles around the end of the brush makes it easy to clean areas a normal dish brush wouldn’t reach.

At 35cm long, this brush is great for cleaning tall jars or wide mouth drink bottles. The Florence brushare range is machine made to good quality using natural materials, meaning that it’s also biodegradable at the end of its life.

What it replaces & why we love it

Much like the plastic toothbrush, every dish-brush ever made still exists today – which is terrifying. Your traditional dish-brush has a plastic handle and plastic bristles.

We love these alternatives because they are made of sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly raw materials which are fully compostable at the end of their life! Being a zero-waster, I have a lot of jars. These Dishy brushes make it so much easier to clean all of them, and it’s also perfect for cleaning my reusable coffee cup!

Materials

• Beechwood - made through a FSC certified manufacturer with sustainability in mind
• Soft horsehair - the dressed hair mane of the horse. The hair quality is dependent on the breed, climate, season and condition of the animal

Care

Allow brush to dry after each use, do not leave soaking in water.  Not suited for the dishwasher.

End of life

This brush is well made so should last you a long time if you look after it. At the end of its life, you can look at ways to repurpose it, including removing the bristles and reusing the handle for something else.

As it's made from all natural materials, it can be easily composted at home or in a commercial facility.

Product Packaging

These guys come with very little packaging, which we love, and are basically naked other than the paper swing tag and elastic string tying it to the product.

These eco goodies arrive in a cardboard box, apart from the tape there is no other plastic in this parcel.
