Nylon bristles - The bristles are made out of nylon 6, which is a dental grade material and currently the only material available for toothbrush bristles that will clean teeth to a hygienic standard and keep them healthy

A bamboo toothbrush may require a little bit more care than your conventional plastic one. Ensure you keep it dry and rinse well after cleaning your teeth. We would not recommend leaving it in the shower, as the excessive moisture may reduce its life.

Each toothbrush is packaged in a cardboard box which can be recycled locally, composted at home or in a commercial facility. And if you can repurpose it then do that first.

The bamboo handle is compostable at home or in a commercial facility. Remove the nylon bristles first by using a pair of pliers to pull them out. The bristles will need to go to landfill we collect them in a storage container (something we would have sent to landfill anyway) to avoid them getting lost and into our waterways.

Alternatively, you can keep it for cleaning bathroom tiles or even use it to label plants in your garden.
